Tik Tok Fans to Choose Next Color for Gap’s Iconic Logo Hoodie: If it’s hot on TikTok, it’s worth acting upon. That strategy is being used by Gap, as its TikTok followers will choose the next color for its iconic logo hoodie, to be released this fall. Gap global head of marketing Mary Alderete told Adweek the spark for this idea was lit last September or October, when influencer Emma Chamberlain began posting while wearing Gap’s logo hoodie.

Amazon is acquiring a podcast hosting and monetization platform: Amazon Music is getting more serious about its podcast endeavors. Today, the company announced that it’s acquiring Art19, a major podcast hosting and monetization platform for an undisclosed sum. This means Amazon will now have a hand in hosting podcasters’ shows as well as selling ads against them because Art19 operates an ad marketplace that targets and inserts ads into programming. An Amazon Music spokesperson says nothing will immediately change on the Art19 platform.

Inside Royal Caribbean Group’s plan to get people cruising again: Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas trial cruise set sail from Miami last week and returned without a hitch two days later. It was the first time in 15 months a Royal Caribbean ship set sail from a U.S. port. Donna Hrinak, Royal Caribbean Group’s SVP of corporate affairs, said the company has been working closely with Weber Shandwick to get messaging out about cruising’s return. The main message Royal Caribbean is trying to spread: Its health and safety protocols work.
